[ Luci watches him from his perch on the counter, unperturbed and with patience bought from having already eaten something. ]

[MAYBE. Phantom gives Luci a little indignant look. But he can't even threaten to eat these noodles out of spite when they're a cursed spicy packet.]

And just what do you know how to cook?

[ Nonchalantly, because running a bar was something Luci did for fun, not to be a chef. But then he remembers he's a ~scary demon~ and adds with a shrug-- ]

[There's no way something that small could eat a person, right. Just... going to hedge his bets.]

If you attempt to eat me, I assure you I'll find a way to poison you. [...] And this kitchen isn't equipped for it in any case.

[ Luci makes a short, disgusted noise at that as he looks him over, but he still sounds flat. ]

No thanks. You aren't my type.

[That's kind of offensive?? Even if he doesn't want to be eaten. Phantom gives Luci the slightly huffy look that deserves.

Just for that, he's eyeing the fill line on the spicy ramen and... undershooting on the water. Extra spice concentration for petty revenge.]

Good. Then I don't want to hear criticism from someone whose specialty is bar food.

[ The deserved huffy look is not effective. But it's agreed he does deserve it. He also deserves that spice sabotage. ]

At least my specialty's usually got some kinda meat in it. [ suddenly, almost comically, distracted by what's happening with his ramen-- ] What's this stuff made of anyway?

Why is meat a prerequisite...

[Never mind, he can accept this distraction. Maybe it's appreciation for his excellent ramen-making skills.]

What noodles are usually made of. Spices. Dried vegetables or fish flakes. [Some things that were indecipherable but the translation app was probably trying its best!] You didn't look before you were eating them?

[ A shrug, still watching this whole process unfold. ]

Nah. Can't read. Who knew that novel would be ingredients anyway?

[ A dramatic sigh. ]

Is it almost done yet? No wonder humans starve.

[Oh my god little demon creature it's been minutes!

Phantom weighs the additional petty revenge of lying to let the noodles get soggy, but he's not letting that happen to his, so. Fine. Nudging the ramen towards Luci and grabbing his own.]

You'd be shocked at their resilience. Most humans can survive minutes, even hours of hunger. However, it should be done.

[ Luci perks up at his finished bowl of ramen. Or maybe it's because he's thinking about starving humans while examining it and sniffing it, who knows. Once again he sounds way too excited for the subject matter: ]

In Hell their souls survive an eternity but they still feel hunger all the time.

[ Cackling about that into his first bite before he coughs a little and the spiciness roughs up his voice. ]

Not bad for half-assed! Could still use some crunch though.

Do you have a particular dislike of humans, or is that simply your hobby?

[You know, the cackling excitement about suffering thing. Even Phantom's dialed that down over a week, gosh. He's eating his own ramen safely out of spice radius, but at least nothing prepackaged should be that dangerous.]

You could always add something. Peanuts. Bones.

Oh man, causing human suffering was my dream job. [ Luci sighs like an old man remembering the Good Old Days, while trying not to cry from the spices. He's managing well. Spices and Hell seem like they'd get along well, but his body is all weird here. Also, he's sort of talking with noodles in his mouth. ] Now it's just a hobby.

[ A glance between their respective ramens, a sniff of the air-- ]

What flavor's yours?

You must be envious of their arrangement here.

[Just look at all the suffering they're causing with relatively low effort thus far. Phantom looks more amused by this than anything, but he pulls his ramen closer as a precaution.]

Shrimp. There's nothing crunchy in it whatsoever.

[ Luci rolls his eye, evolving to slurping loudly and not really watching what splatters. ]

Sweet set up, but nah. I'm what you'd call an enabler, not a forcer. Watching people do it to themselves is part of the fun.
