EPILOGUE
So.
Juniper is dead. Lorelei and Florence are alive. And the rest of you, thankfully, are also alive and kicking.
The building is kind of a mess right now, and a lot of the citizens are in kind of disarray, confused and uncertain of what exactly is going on in the Camellia tower. Things are a bit of a mess right now, but what matters is that you’ve stopped things. The cycle of these experiments, suppression – it’s over.
Your markings are still here, however. You are free to try and figure that out, too (though the answer is, indeed, quite simple with the "B" toggle, and may be hand waved). Other than that, though, everything seems to be...stabilized. As good as they can be, anyway. Lorelei and Florence are around, for any last conversations. When you emerge, the sun is out, perhaps brighter than usual – though whether that’s because of joy from the citizens or confusion is anyone’s guess – and some of you are covered in blood, but you are here.
And you are ready to finally, finally return home.
---
(OOC: For anyone who's willing, Lorelei will be able to configure tablets to synch up with the portal here at Estelline. From there, they will be able to world hop to someone else's world; so the Estelline portal is now a hub, of sorts. It's not a direct world hop and it's a bit inconvenient, but it is a way for you guys to see each other again.
She will also ensure that those who are currently sleeping will be sent home in one piece.
All of this can be handwaved, or threaded out in the Lorelei thread.
Happy Good Ending, everyone!)

I just figured... if I had to choose between being an idol and doing a bunch of bad stuff, and probably being an idol and not doing bad stuff, and the latter had you on top of that... I'd absolutely have to do it. I can be an idol anywhere, you know? I'm good at it, at the end of the day. I'd get my break eventually.
[He feels his chest tensing up, and he lowers his head a bit, nuzzling her hair.]
I'd miss some people a lot, but I think the real thing you've taught me is that there's always a time for second chances. [A murmur.] This way I get a chance to talk to Kohaku for a while, though. Leo, too. I want to see what they think. And then I might just go with you for good.

( he wants to go with her. he wants to do better. honestly, her mind's racing a mile a minute but... )
I'm really proud of you, for being able to say that. And- and no matter what you choose, I'll still be with you, I promise, okay?

[He settles his fingertips against her lips.]
I know. And I want to meet your unitmates as soon as possible. I just... I have some things I really need to say to Kohaku first. Just believe in me for a little longer, okay?
[But the truth is that knowing there's another way, where he doesn't have to be shackled by his parents and the cult and his own self-appointed savior role, one he gets now has to be selfishly taken on... he wants out. He wants to try again, on his own merits. With his own two hands, his voice, his skills. He still wants to make people smile, and to cheer for MaM. He just wants to be able to do it with a smile that doesn't die when he gets home. He'll uproot himself and start over, with nothing, from nothing.]
I got you something, in the meantime. So you won't forget me.

Silly. I wouldn't stop that for anything.
( she might have gotten a little worked up. she's? it's been a dilly of a day. )
... Alright. And you know I can be very patient.

I need you to know right now, though, that you believing in me means everything to me. I'll show up when you least expect me, too, just for fun!
[She still has the penguin he got for her, but this is different.]
I know we're idols and all, so this might be... kind of bad?
[But he pulls out a little paper box from the stationery shop and hands it to her. He may have stolen the contents from the jewelry store a while back, but it's a delicate silver necklace all the same, with a pendant shaped like a star. Each point of the star has a small emerald set in it.]
You don't ever have to wear it, but... When you see it, maybe you'll remember I'll be with you soon. And that I love you.

It's beautiful...
( she only stares for a little bit longer before she moves her hair out of the way and loop the chain around her neck. there's a good chance she'll never want to take it off, idol status be damned. )
I love it. Thank you.
