04 - week four

WEEK FOUR

Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.

You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.

However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.

That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.

Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.

Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

[ he thinks about that for a moment. when sabo tosses him the apple, he catches it and looks at it. maybe...? ]

Yeah, I am pretty hungry.

[ time to nom on this apple, at least. ]

sabo will look pleased and while he doesn't go to remove the plate he does grab one of the sando slices from the plate before he walks over to ace. he holds it out to ace. now if ace wants to take it from him, that's fine or if he wants to eat it out of sabo's hand then.....that can also happen. ]

I only brought the sandwiches so they're going to have to do.

[ the apple was a really good tip off! ]

Then it looks like I'll be eating plenty of fruit, too.

[ he leans and grabs the sandwich from sabo's hand with his mouth because why not? he's good with taking it in one bite. ]

Just as long as you don't eat everything here.

[ he'll linger for a bit before getting another slice of the sando. go finish your apple ace. shame that the flowers are over where the art pieces are because sabo would have totally plucked one for ace.

just for the hell of it. instead he'll just vibe quietly. ]

No promises.

[ no, no. he'll be behaving and not devour everything and ruin it for everything else. but he will be tasting various fruits here. but for the fruit he has, he does finish it off. ]

[ thank you ace and sabo will still be standing watching, only moving to fold his arms. ]

I would almost joke and ask you to test yourself but I won't. If you make yourself sick, then it will be me who will have to deal with the aftermath.

In more ways than one.

[ he says, expecting sabo to take care of him, even if sabo would be suffering from the overeating, too. ]

[ well, it's fair because sabo would take care of ace while also feeling sick himself but you know. that's just how he is. ]

Definitely in more ways than one.

[ such a good malewife he has. ]

You're pretty suited for that kind of thing, huh?

but huh? he's going to give ace a confused look. it's not like he's unaware it's just like...ace taking notice. ]

Suited for what kind of thing?

[ a vague motion. just... all this. ]

[ TRULY... FOR WHAT!!!!

but cue sabo just miming ace's actions back at him as he tries to fully understand what ace is referring to. there are a lot of little things here that he isn't entirely sure of. ]

[ GOSH, you're supposed to understand what he means, sabo. ]

Taking care of people?

[ maybe he doesn't realize he's just extra special. ]

[ HE DOES BUT THERE ARE TOO MANY VARIABLES. not to mention when ace points it out to him, sabo takes a moment to think it over before laughing. ]

I don't do this for everyone.

[ he cares, obviously, but to go to these lengths? for everyone? likely not. ]

If Koala ever heard you say that, she'd probably think you were lying.

[ okay, fair enough on that. ]

Then I'm just lucky, huh?

[ to be fair, he hasn't seen sabo really dote on anyone here, so that's not too surprising. ]

[ it's because sabo hasn't doted on anyone other than ace, and even then...could you really call the treatment of sabo to ace "doting"? nevertheless he will walk back over to the tree and fetch another slice of the sando he made. ]

Don't let it get to your head.

[ sometimes it could be. it's bully-doting. brotherly love. all that jazz. ]

Aww, but where's the fun in that?

[vivens]

[ hm. ]

Then maybe I should take you down a few notches and treat you like everyone else.

[ which is...still quite generous but just lacking the extra parts. whatever those end up being. also, he'll be holding the other slice of the sando to ace a lot more casually this time. ace is still free to eat it from sabo's hand or take it for himself. ]

Is that what you really want?

[ he's leaning to casually munch on the food from sabo's hand. this is no big deal. ]

[ yeah, it's fine. sabo can feed ace in an indirect way.... and only because sabo wants to be a brat about this. as well as to see what ace thinks. ]

What do you think I want?

I dunno. You surprise me with things sometimes.

[ but he tries to think of something anyway.. give him a minute. ]

[ he'll give ace a minute but also blink a few times. is he really that hard to read?? ]

[ no, but also sometimes yes? it's only sometimes. MR. OCCASIONAL SECRETS. ]
