04 - week four
WEEK FOUR
Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.
You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.
However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.
That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.
Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

OOC NOTE
OOC: Details on this week can be found here!
Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.
Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

[It seems like the frog was smacked into the next world by the might of the door, because he doesn't seem to be in evidence anymore for now -- Tamamori, on the other hand, looks increasingly baffled and lets the door open a little bit more. Some crumpled up bits of paper on the floor roll out.
He seems to be trying to put together Flat's (usual??) chipper attitude with his words like...]
You're talking nonsense. Did you eat something funny while I was busy?
cw suicide
[ tamamori will probably wish that flat had eaten something bad. but he answers earnestly, raising an eyebrow as he continues without a second of hesitation. ]
The death of your friend! Mi...mina...Minakami! [ he snaps his fingers. ] I saw him, or, well, I guess I saw you seeing him-- the one that Kawase was saying died from suicide, but you think that he was murdered.
probably cw suicide for the rest of the thread also labels this thread 02 for posterity
[There's a reason he didn't ask him right off!! It's hard to tell if he wants to know with this lot, especially this guy considering what he did with soap and sundry other things. Tamamori is pretty sure this is one of those instances where it's better to look on from afar and not approach, rather like seeing an elephant at the circus.
Anyway, his expression shifts when Minakami's name comes up, brows drawing down. Had he mentioned Minakami to anyone other than Kawase? Of course, it was possible to overhear them, and there was something extra weird in the air lately (they're portals, Tamamori), but surely -- his face goes through several different contortions, because the last time he saw Minakami was--]
... I barely even remember that conversation anymore. But you were eavesdropping, huh.
[It should sound indignant but something about it just sounds flat, emotion draining away even with the probably-not-just accusation here.]
covers my eyes because i cant read
[ at least now he actually sounds somewhat apologetic. he studies tamamori's change of demeanor, taking another step back to give the other man some space, should he need some. ]
But I was curious about what you said. About a phantom-- can I ask you about it?
uncovers your eyes bc we have clown2clown communication it's fine
[... Well, it's fairly easy to defuse his temper; or maybe he isn't quite in the mood for his usual fits of pique and angry diatribes, because that comes out a little watered down too. Still, Tamamori tilts his head when Flat backs up another step. That's a weird feeling -- people usually don't really back away from him unless he's really talking.
He purses his lips and stops holding on to the door, leaning against the doorframe. Narrows his eyes in thought. Gives up and kicks the door open; there's probably a complaint from Kawase because he sure does exist there somewhere.]
Ugh, it's a terrible story, and if you laugh I'm kicking you out-- [he's not even in yet] --but you might as well come in. It's not something for the hallway.
