04 - week four
WEEK FOUR
Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.
You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.
However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.
That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.
Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.
Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

[ He seems a little agitated and annoyed, but at least the problem is dealt with. Which is enough for him to turn and start to question who Xingqiu is and how he got into the apartment, but something catches the corner of his eye. ]
Ludger – !
[ The boy is able to at least hold onto the sides of the pasta pot with the potholders, but the weight of the water seems to throw the seven-year-old off, causing some of the boiling water to splash over the side. There's a gasp from Ludger as jerks back when Julius yells, and he drops the pot back onto the stove. It lands awkwardly against the metal grate, which causes it to lurch in his direction with all its contents towards him.
Sorry, Xingqiu, this comedy of errors isn't quite over yet. ]

How did this happen?
Xingqiu will react quickly and tries to grab or pull Ludger out of the way of the lurching contents because boy this is turning into quite a disaster here...! ]

Ludger squirms a bit but lets himself get pulled back away from the pot, which Julius... stops the pot from tipping over by using his hand to support the side of it. Even as water sloshes over the rim and onto, he holds firm, even as the pain shoots up from how hot it is. ]

At least he got Ludger out of there, because boy it's troublesome dealing with just one of them in hot water.
Heh. Get it, hot water? ]
...How did this all turn out like this?

Once he was sure the pot wasn't going to move again, he finally moved his now pretty burned left hand. Yeah, that's on its way to being second degree. He looks over at Xingqiu and Ludger. ]
I thought I'd give cooking a try. [ snort ] It was a mistake that I won't be repeating again.
[ He realizes he's probably being a little too dour in front of this guy he doesn't even know, so he pulls back a bit. ] Thank you. For your help.

...That hand burn looks pretty bad, though. Like, damn. ]
Or at least try something very easy to start with. Like eggs.
[ Seriously! ]

[ He was pretty sure there really isn't a point for someone like him to try again, but he really wasn't in the mood to argue with someone he's never met before.
He looks down at Ludger, his tone not really changing from its dry, sort of disconnected tone. ] You're not hurt?
[ Ludger doesn't immediately reply, still a little shell-shocked. ]
N-No, I'm fine. [ He looks up at Xingqiu and nods appreciatively. ] Um, thank you, Mister.
[ Julius sighs, stepping away from the kitchen and towards the door out of the apartment. ] I'm going to go get some food and medicine. [ He turns and looks at Xingqiu. ] You mind giving me a hand?
[ While the look in his eyes has always been kind of hard, it's probably clear from how he's looking that this isn't a request. ]

[ Xingqiu inclines his head respectfully and then turns his attention towards Julius, looking about the same as ever.
Even if it's not a request, he's glad to ""help"", seeing as he was about to offer anyway. ]
Oh, I don't mind. I was thinking of already helping out some more, considering what happened.
[ He will go to follow the other easily... ]
