04 - week four

WEEK FOUR

Saturday comes to a close, and it’s time for some rest and recovery. Perhaps the TLC you deserve will come this week, or perhaps the nightmare will continue. It’s hard to say with things being so strange around you, from Wei Wuxian’s disappearance to the sudden addition of objects and places and creatures from your homes. Who knows what this week will bring? Nothing ordinary, that’s for sure.

You wake up on Sunday to an increase in those little glimpses you saw yesterday. What were snippets of songs, locations that might’ve seemed familiar, and creatures that were dormant, are now all alive and whole. When you go to the karaoke bar, the songs you once knew are there. Monsters and animals are alive and sentient. New business are abound. Vehicles are operable, and perhaps some of your old belongings are back, too.

However, some of these things aren’t even things that should exist outside of your dreams. They may be far too strange and unusual to be real, or just things you don't remember ever seeing. The only thing you remember about these things in particular is that they were, quite literally, in your dreams this week.

That being said, every few hours, all of these things from your homes and dreams fade out and get replaced by new sounds, places, beasts….only to maybe come back again at another time.

Well. At least there's one constant here: You’ve got a handful of new locations to look at, with the fog having spread once more, and they aren't going anywhere. There aren’t as many new places that are native to Estelline this time around, but that may be for the best, considering everything going on.

Also, we have a lot of participants for the news activity from last week. Neat! Everyone who participated in some capacity will have a small polaroid camera delivered to their doorstep. There's limited film, though - 10 photos per camera. It doesn't seem like there's any extra film at this time, either.

Finally, there will not be any weekly tasks this week. You guys are going to be busy with memshare and dreamscape stuff; instead, enjoy the Estelline University Newspaper!

EXPLORATION NOTICE

[ Per this comment, there's an additional portion of the Camellia Facility that is available for people to explore. You can comment to this top level if you'd like to explore it, or include it in a top level some other time (like a regular setting investigation); it is up to you. All of this info is on the Locations Page but for the sake of OOC ease, I will copy and paste the description here:

The new location is in the back of the building, presumably behind the lobby area. It'll be hard to get to the lobby from here, though, because there are two doors - one on each end of the wing - that would lead to the lobby but are otherwise locked. They are notably harder to break down than the door in the back, too, and may actually send you to the medbay as well if you attempt to knock them down...

This area definitely looks like a medical area of some sort. There are a couple of rooms: Two for operating, a recovery room, a locker area, examination room, and a storage closet. ]

[... a storage closet, you say? That looks like the perfect place for Marcus to go sticking his nose where it doesn't belong.

Time to open it up and see what's inside!]

[ A storage closet indeed. It's unlocked, so Marcus won't have to break down this door in particular. The light is off, but there's a light switch right next to the door. Otherwise, the light from the outside hallway will cast a little bit of light inside of the closet, revealing shelves that are neatly organized with supplies. ]

[Deny him his fun, why don't you--

But no, he'll turn that light switch on and then take a look at those shelves. If the supplies might be useful, maybe he can take some of them back with him when he leaves... after today, it's starting to seem like having that kind of thing on hand might be a good idea.]

[ He can, sure! There are better medical supplies here: Casts, braces, crutches, etc. So he may need an extra set of hands to help him carry stuff back to the university.

That being said, there is a shelf that appears to have some other non-medical supplies. There's a toolbox with some tools lying around, as well as some clear storage containers that are holding...something small. ]

[... interesting. Some of those medical supplies are definitely going to be coming back with him and whoever he grabs to help carry things, and probably that toolbox as well, but...

So what's up with those clear storage containers?]

[ Well, there's a label on them. "SUPPRESSORS." And in the clear storage containers are little bits that look like microchips.

Hm. ]

[Hmm indeed. Don't mind if he just pockets those.
