Which is why I didn't actually even try to do such a thing. Were I the only one in danger, I wouldn't have hesitated, but I cannot risk anything when I have Mr. Nouzen to consider. The others being in proximity would have been an issue too.

Their system working as they intended, I'm sure. Even a truly reckless person still has the burden of their partner, which provides teams an incentive to keep an eye on each other.

True enough! Our esteemed instructor set the teams on purpose, with no randomness. I maintain the theory this was meant to curb a few tendencies, among them the possibility a few here would readily inconvenience their enemy if they could.

[Rideaux and Kresnik comes to mind, but they're not the only ones. Phantom and Marcus are another pair that, in his opinion, are prevented from being worse thanks to Lorelei's pairing, haha]

That is the nature of the intended "improvement," after all. She went through some trouble to avoid some of the more obvious possible disruptions to this class.
